Thanks to Simplicity in Action, I’ve picked up a whole load of new readers…. so thanks so much for stopping by! It means a lot to me.
I do two things fairly regularly on this blog, besides pontificating about life… and that’s Much Love Mondays, where I offset the Monday gloom (not that I really get any!) with some things I love, and Silent Sundays where I remember that silence is golden. Lots of words spill out of my mouth and fingers, and this is my way of finding that small voice of calm in amid the noise and chaos.
I think it’s a pictorial representation of things that have made me smile in the week. That’s all.
Enough with the words.

We are envious of your grapes… Ours failed this year.
I’ve got about a tenth as many (?!) as I had last year… but given I’ve got 160 vines, it still leaves me with a few. Apples, cherries, plums, nectarines, apricots all failed. Here’s to 2012! I think the champagne, wine and cognac producers are very worried indeed though.
I love this, the idea of being quiet. I think it was Emerson who wrote: Let us be silent, that we may hear the whispers of the Gods.
Yes… it’s definitely when I feel most spiritual when I’m quiet. And then I want to do a big whoop!
Bonjour je viens chez vous en lisant “simplicité en action” Je suis Française et ne parle aucune langue étrangère ( traduction goog…!!) . J’espère que vous vous plaisez dans mon pays que j’aime. Bonjour Linette, Merci de me contacter! Je suis ravie d’être en France – j’adore mon pays adoptif ! Je pourrais écrire peut-être un blog bilingue de temps en temps – malgré mon française ! Je crois que c’est vraiment plus facile d’habiter en France, d’avoir une vie simple, d’apprécier la vie. Avec mon potager, c’est facile d’augmenter mes achats. Je ne pouvais pas avoir un potager comme le mien en Angleterre ! Nous n’avons pas le soleil chez moi a Manchester!
